Longdo Traffic

Longdo Traffic is a website and mobile application developed by Longdo, delivering real-time traffic information with precision and speed. Powered by a Traffic Data Processing system, it continuously analyzes live road conditions and instantly visualizes them as color-coded traffic lines on the map — red for heavy traffic, yellow for moderate congestion, and green for smooth traffic.

Traffic Data

The system collects raw data from various sources, such as tracking vehicles on the road (vehicle probes) and user locations via mobile phones (mobile probes). This data is processed to calculate travel speeds for different road segments.

The processed results are passed on to other systems, including the display system that shows real-time info, web services that deliver data in XML format, and route calculation systems that recommend alternative routes to avoid traffic, utilizing both real-time and historical data (speed profiles).
